Water Appropriations

Bob Shaver
Bob began serving as Director for the Water Appropriations Division in August 2005. Prior to that time, Bob had worked for 30 years in the Water Appropriations Division as a Hydrologist II, Hydrologist III, and Hydrologist Manager.

Responsibilities of the Water Appropriations Division are:
  • Administer and process water rights;
  • Adjudicate and evaluate water rights;
  • Water resource monitoring;
  • Water resource information dissemination, which includes the development and maintenance of a database website for retrieval of data;
  • Develop community water supplies;
  • Conduct water resource research; and
  • Identify and evaluate potential water supplies for economic development.
