Devils Lake East End Outlet Alternatives Analysis, BW/AECOM, February 2011 -
Firms to provide Geotechnical Investigations on Tolna Coulee were interviewed the first week of February, and a selection will be completed soon. Also, a Request for Qualifications was sent out to Engineering firms, to be due by February 7. This selection for Engineering services on a Tolna Coulee Control Structure will be completed within the next few weeks. The link above provides a description of East End Outlet Alternatives that have been analyzed. It includes 14 different route alignments and 31 alternatives within those routes. These alternatives have been narrowed down to four (12A, 12B, 12C, and 13A) and will be analyzed in greater detail.
Sando Addresses Outlet Expansions for Devils Lake, August 2011 -
The State Water Commission's Chief Engineer, Todd Sando, recently sent a letter to editors at the Devils Lake Journal, the Grand Forks Herald, and the Valley City Times Record. The purpose of the letter was to address the state's plans to expand outlet capacity from Devils Lake to reduce the risk of a natural overflow.
